Kuwait, the team the Korean national soccer team will face in the 2026 North and Central America World Cup Asian 3rd

qualifier, is changing its coach.

According to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on the 3rd, the Kuwait Football Association (KFA) announced on the

1st local time that it was parting ways with coach Rui Bento.

The KFA did not specifically disclose the reason for the breakup, but only said, "We thank him for his time leading the

national team and wish him success in the future."

Coach Bento took charge of the Portuguese national team at each age level before taking charge of the Kuwait national
